What is Alternative Psychology?

Alternative psychology is a unique blending of psychology, hypnotherapy, spirituality, positive thinking, learning exercises and science. 

By understanding the mind and how we ‘train’ it, we have developed a way of ‘retraining’ our thinking.  Let me explain.

Have you ever driven to work, parked the car, and realized that you didn’t remember the drive in?  This is a mind habit.  In the same way that the body develops habits and addictions, so does the mind.  If you think the same thought repeatedly, you form neural pathways in the brain.  You’re “in a rut”, so to speak.  Through alternative psychology you can create new pathways, new brain habits that are healthier, safer, and better able to make your life a happy one.

Science tells us that humans only use at the very most 10% of their brains.  What about the other 90%?  It’s there for a reason. 

Science has also shown us that the mind can make us ill.  These illnesses are called psychosomatic (psycho: mind and soma: body).  Well, isn’t it logical then that the mind can also make us well?

Alternative psychology practitioners use the power of the mind to do just that.

It’s about choice.  You can choose happiness and good health.  You have that power.  You are what you think!
